This game would be awesome if it was like mount and blade, or have a game mode like that, hiring troops, taking cities, taking hostage some generals and stuff.

From my Understanding a game mode called PMC will be added in the future.
Maybe it will be as you describe?

Nah. You start as an established "nation" with multiple cities, there's no player character, no generals, or really anything that makes it like warband.

you lead a nation and its armies {politics coming next major update} and u have to research and manufacture arms,armor etc including food for your settlements and ammo for ur armies. takes time getting use to theirs also a direct combat type of mode too i would say give it a try see if u like .
