I read about convoying but just don't get how it works. So, I manually take a garrisoned battalion from town A and move it to a starving town B? But how can I be sure that they have the bread? :)) This is quite funny and overcomplicated, no offense!
And what the @supply@ button does in town menu?
This is definitely needed. Thank you for replies!
There was a suggestion by a different person on this forum about Decreasing the number of resources and I just find it a good idea, It's not fully connected to my initial question about @moving bread@ :))
First you dont need a bakery in every settlement to feed your entire population, you only need it in one or two cities now those to cities will have abundant of bread so all you have to do is run a weekly convoy which is done automatically, the way to do that . Click on one of the city that has plenty of bread ( as a hint for you on how to know which city has what , see the resources tab on the top of the screen where it shows you your money and other resources, if you hover the mouse on any of the resources it will tell you which settlements has it and how much ) now back to the bread , once you click on the settlement it will beings the stockpile in that city , click on bread , a menu will pop up where you choose the city that you want to convoy to it ,choose the amount you want to convoy weekly say 100 or more and before you click ok there is a check box for repeat it weekly . Do this for each city that dont have a bakery .
I have only two bakeries for my entire country and two wheat farm . Also another hint . If you want your bakery production to be more efficient and fast try to keep the wheat farm on the same town as the bakery so they dont take time transferring wheat from town of production to where your bakery is located .
The convoy method goes for all other resources. So as a general management. I for example kept my capital as resources production for cigarettes and bakery and alcohol and canned food next to it i makse 2 towns for production of weapons and ammunition and also motorized vehicle . I kept borders town for where i keep my army battalion recruitment and i convoy to them only the required materials they need ( weapons , ammo and food)
So in that case i keep stockpiles organized and i know where is what .
Second , the supply button on the settlment tab is to supply the garrisoned police or the garrisoned army depending on which tab you are looking at , so if you choose the army tab and click supply it will supply your troops same goes for police tab ( garrison ) .
Its nit necessary to click it since the garrisoned troops will automatically take what they need of the supply however it becomes useful at specific situations such as , lets say you have a squad of miltia troops and they are armed with AK47 and you finally researched and produced a new patch of AK12 fully modded and you want to assigned this patch to a specific battalion. Convoy this patch from your stockpile city to where this army is garrisoned and choose the army tab and click supply , the army will automatically take the best weapon and leave the old ones , you can then give the old ones to the police force or sell it on the market or save it in your stockpile .
The game has some beautiful mechanics i totally agree that it needs alot of quality of life and im looking forward for the future update of the game. Hope this helped
To convoy Food.
1) click the Town that has it and go to Supply Tab.
2) click the Bread in the inventory
3) Select the Town you want to send the Convoy to
4) Select how much to send using the Slider
5) Tick if you want to repeat this every weak
6) Click Send Convoy.
7) watch the little truck go to the target town.
Wow, thanks.
Will convoys be targetable on the global map at some point?
I do really want to plunder some juicy trucks when going at war... seeing them running around invincible makes me sad.
