Is this better version of Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare?

Its a different game.
Its more like a combination of Hearts of Iron + Men of War + Hell Let Loose.
And not so much an Role Playing Game.

How is it like HOI? A grand strategy game? I like this game (well the Demo) but nothing about it struck me as Grand Strategy in the slightest.

And yes to answer the OP its better than Guerrilla -feels far more polished graphics/effects wise

The Strategy Map part of the game. I mean you are in control of the Entire Country.
What game would you compare that part of the game to?

Well probably not one of the grandaddys of that genre. Its more like an IOS version its so simplified.

I'd say the best description is Mount & Blade except you control the entire country (armies, cities, diplomacy, resources, etc) + modern setting. Everything plays in real time with pause so it's not really like Total War

From what i have seem in demo it is much much more cooler then Freedom. Tons on wehicles and guns + economics . It's not Bannerlord with guns its like Total war with guns.
Researches and guns production + buildings are also in place.

Yeah, it's a much different game. I only played Freeman early in alpha (when there were vehicles!) and then whatever the final version is now. But that game is a lot smaller scale, and plays more like Mount & Blade. There's no PC in this game. There's a logistics aspect that is nothing like Freeman. It's more like a traditional 4X than a sim or RPG.

This is what freeman should have been IMHO, For a first public release its got alot more going on than freeman ever did after launch. Its incredible.

That's because the game wasn't abandoned like freeman

Freeman was such a good game that went backwards the longer they worked on it.

This has similarities but has no RPG elements but everything else is much deeper.
While very raw and in need of a lot of work, the bones of an incredible game is here.

Most definately. Some UI fundamentals to start and a little more easier to navigate menus, maybe some tooltips. A custom faction option would be a godsend, so far as janky as the bandit starts are, they feel really fun to capture places and build up your faction. I'm seriously loving the amount of content here in its rough form, I can easy see popping like a thousand hours into this (for me)

Agreed. Once it's in a more user friendly state, I expect to lose many evenings in this.

It'll be another early access fraud like Freeman Guerrilla Warfare, all bugs stay still after 6 months of updates! And rumor saying that the game is made by the same group of people who made Freeman Guerrilla Warfare, War and roses......

Do you realize that these are different games, on different engines? We have nothing to do with them.
