I don't think we are privy to the dev road map yet. It's there but not public just yet. I guess maybe in future?
And that's not the only game like that.
Space Engineers entered early access in 2013 and was released by 2019. They still make major updates, like during EA so I personnally don't consider it finished, even if it's already "released".
Star Sector entered early access in 2011, still not released out of early access, with its last update released in may 2023.
Rimworld entered early access in 2013, released out of early access in 2018, last updated in 2022.
Etc, etc, etc ... All those are great games, but great games need time, especially with small dev teams. And no, hiring more peoples don't do any miracles, as you will have to train them on your game, for them to understand how you're working and so on. What I mean is, developping a game may take a lot of time. Early Access games aren't for you if you have no patience. I don't know how much it will be for this one and I don't really care, I'll just play something else between major updates, like I did with other EAs before and be pleased to come back from time to time like that until release.
