You still might need to load a save before the part you got stuck even with the update. To get around this bug even before the update, after you get the window open showing the other room, go back to the phone but don't interact with the buttons in the middle, just interact with the glowing button on the bottom, once it slides to the other side the light above the phone handle should light up and you should be able to pull down the lever and progress.
If none of this works let me know.
Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with it. I will take another look but I don't believe the order of things should matter regarding getting the disk first. Do you have an older save before you started interacting with the phone before solving the window part? If so, I recommend loading an earlier save and then looking at the spoiler part I marked out to see if doing things in that sequence will solve the problem.
if that doesn't work, even though you might not have manually saved the game at different points there should be a list of autosaves that you can access that should load the game to a place before the phone puzzle. To access these in the pause menu go to Load ->Autosaves->Show AutoSave List and a list should popup allowing you to go back to a previous save. You might have to experiment loading different autosaves to get back before the phone puzzle, but hopefully there will be one where you don't have to go back too far.
For the gate key the idea here is that if you pause the tape before the man goes through the other door the man will hear you if you exit the room and he will remove the key from the key hole and hide. Because if you try to zoom into where the key would be he will capture you. You have to wait for the man to go through the other door before the key shows up (or you can skip the video cutscene and it should show up too) and so you don't get caught.
