Update for Phone Glitch
Like another commenter, I too have the phone glitch in the last room. There is no option available to interact with the phone handle after I got the window room open so I cannot continue. The other commenter mentioned a code that worked for them, but it did not work for me, so I am stuck. The developer mentioned that an update was coming to fix this as this was not supposed to happen but that was Jan 13 and the last update I had was Jan 10. Is this update still coming - I would like to finish the game. Or is there another workaround?

Hey, sorry for the trouble. There has been an update that should fix this bug. It might be worth trying to get Steam to force an update to the game. In the Library tab, right click on the game and go to Properties and then Installed Files, and then select "Verify integrity of game files" and after it scans the files it should update if there is one you missed.
You still might need to load a save before the part you got stuck even with the update. To get around this bug even before the update, after you get the window open showing the other room, go back to the phone but don't interact with the buttons in the middle, just interact with the glowing button on the bottom, once it slides to the other side the light above the phone handle should light up and you should be able to pull down the lever and progress.
If none of this works let me know.
Thanks for the quick reply. I scanned the game files and nothing came back amiss, so I went into the game again and no luck. The glowing slider on the bottom has become permanently stuck on the right and does not slide anymore - it can be clicked, but that just resets the buttons if they have been moved. So I still seem to be in a pickle. Just wonder if order of operations messes things up. Like the other poster, I got the disk from the toaster first and then used that to get some sort of box that I cannot yet interact with before attempting to re-engage with the phone.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with it. I will take another look but I don't believe the order of things should matter regarding getting the disk first. Do you have an older save before you started interacting with the phone before solving the window part? If so, I recommend loading an earlier save and then looking at the spoiler part I marked out to see if doing things in that sequence will solve the problem.

Unfortunately I do not have an older save file; I am a bit of a linear type player so I just made sure I had one save file up to date. Was there an Update to the game made after Jan 10 that was made available on Steam? That was the last date of the three game updates I can see on Steam. And PS - I was wondering about order of operations due to another quirk (that may have been brought up already in this forum - when watching the red tape, the key only shows up in the gate door if you let the video play through - like the elevator, I assumed that pausing it would be required, so I did that when the gate was first opened. The gate was indeed open, but no key. As mentioned, letting the tape play through and stop on its own did the trick.

I just now pushed an update that hopefully will allow you to progress. Make sure you are zoomed out of the phone puzzle and then zoom back in and press the glowing switch at the bottom of the phone and hopefully you will see the phone handle light up and you should be able to pull it.

if that doesn't work, even though you might not have manually saved the game at different points there should be a list of autosaves that you can access that should load the game to a place before the phone puzzle. To access these in the pause menu go to Load ->Autosaves->Show AutoSave List and a list should popup allowing you to go back to a previous save. You might have to experiment loading different autosaves to get back before the phone puzzle, but hopefully there will be one where you don't have to go back too far.

For the gate key the idea here is that if you pause the tape before the man goes through the other door the man will hear you if you exit the room and he will remove the key from the key hole and hide. Because if you try to zoom into where the key would be he will capture you. You have to wait for the man to go through the other door before the key shows up (or you can skip the video cutscene and it should show up too) and so you don't get caught.

Thanks again for the reply and the explanation on the gate key - that makes sense.

The patch/update did in fact work and I was able to finish the game. Thanks for your help.
