I also hear the patterns from level 2 to like 15 or so are the exact same for the ghosts, so take that as you will. You may notice Pinky and Blinky going in the top corner and spinning for a bit. They won't bother you from that time.
Also-also, you not only have to make it to round 9 but you have to CLEAR it as well. You'll know when you did when you get the final intermission/cutscene.
Level 1 is Pattern 1
Level 2~4 is pattern 2
Level 5~20 is pattern 3
There is a 4th pattern up to a certain key but I don't know about it much.
Pattern 2 is identical to pattern one except you pull away from the blue ghost.
In regards to OP, if you don't have patience then you'll never get it. You will need to learn these patterns to survive if you just want the achievement; I learned them in about 2 hours.
Edit: Almost make sure to learn the ""generic"" patterns, not the ""perfect"" variations. Those will take days to master.
