Help with workers....
Hey there ...i bought the game yesterday after i tried the Free Version for a little.
But i do have a maybe weird question.
What are employees actually do?
Do they like ...maintain your Mining rigs or rebuy broken parts/rigs?
I started the West-Europe Scenario when Anna Finn offered to work for me. But i dont really see any use for workers or i am not that deep in the game yet. Can someone please give me a hint about workers?

The main role of employees is technology research, which is tied to the goal of each scenario. Beside that, you need a couple roles:

1. a person to move stuff around and set up hardware
2. a person to install OS. They need to have Linux skills if you want to save on Windows licenses
3. a person to overclock CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC hardware. You get more out of your money if you overclock
4. a person to set up FPGA. During some years before strong ASIC miners come out, FPGA is the most profitable way to mine.
5. a person with Construction skill is required to install low dust carpets and change building foundations in case you want to use all available space in the facility (also if you want to clear out space for solar mining which can only be done outside).

Other skills are mostly just a check to allow some functions. For example, you need managers to have over 10 employees and you need marketing specialists to use the Hype/PR function more efficiently. But those only have to be present, they don't have to "do" it.

Some of the quests and goals require Expert skills and you either train people to learn them (which takes a lot of time) or you hire the Experts right away (which requires Expert Scouting). This is why Anna Finn is a very useful hire - she is very cheap and has Expert Scouting, so you can easily hire experts in the early game. If you don't hire her it becomes much harder to beat that scenario.
