It's even more clicks if you use PCs as you have to install os (each pc seperate, before having preinstalled Linux) and then setting them up (per rack)
FPGA is not really faster/Power than 3x GPUs but FPGA lose value so fast. YOu can sell only the value of the rack, but PCs are still 80% worth after a year (only downside the hell of clicks per year setting them up)
Only ASIC is it worth.
also add a copy tool that copies the exact settings and setup of a rack or rig. so you pick up a rig or a rack and then you can paint copies of it and the copies get drawn from your inventory (if you have any in inventory) or new ones get bought automatically when you paint. also, make all servers/racks controllable from a workstation. make it possible to create scripts (using expert programmers) that can control racks and rigs from a workstation so you can start/shut down, install/uninstall os, change which coin to mine etc on every rack at the same time with one single click at the work station. you can also choose which rigs/racks should be connected to which workstation by dragin a selection box around the racks and assigning them to whichever workstation you want. these are just some spontaneous ideas i had, what do you think? but please add something, the game is unplayable right now.
To set up 1000 FPGA for mining, you need to place them all in 83 racks (so, yes, that is 1000 clicks, but it goes fast if you hold shift), and then to activate mining you need 3 clicks per rack (options, mining, right-click on set target), so 250 more clicks. So, it isn't 3000, but 1250. I admit it's still a lot, but it isn't half as bad... literally ;)
I will look into some ways to make this faster, but setting up a huge mine with 80+ racks doesn't feel like something that should be done "just like that".
Thats a good idea.
I wish I could put orders in to replicate rigs I've already built too.
Learning on the fly would be a better solution in my eyes, as it also gives you the possibility to include dynamic events.
For example, if an inexperienced employee sets up a computer, system crashes can occur. Or he builds a new system and it catches fire then for example.
Also, many mechanics are so monotonous, like installing OS, etc.
It doesn't exactly make the game fun!
Otherwise, it's a nice game. <3
