I'm so confused

I want to understand the story and get somewhere but this game's making me feel like a total idiot. I feel like a gibbon swinging its arms around at things trying to understand what's going on around me. Some people say that the language is weird or the letters mean certain things but can also mean other things and that certain words can mean multiple things... I don't really know how to figure this out and it's making me sad cause I want to know what's actually happening.

Just play the game as intended first. Your translation notes will still stay, even after a new game (unless if you delete your data). It's impossible to know all of the words without deciphering, and even then, some words make no sense after the deciphering, but thankfully others have figured it out.

So once you finished the game (aka got at least one ending), then you can look at the guides or whatever to see how to unlock multiple endings, and what each word means. There's only one TRUE meaning to each word.

You will definitely feel that way! When I first started (like last week), my first playtrhough I barely understood what was going on in the story; however, with every playthrough you will uncover more of the story/language and you'll be impressed by how far you've come!

I found it easier to play with someone else together. Just confidantly guessing words and celebrate those that make sense and laugh about the ones that do not. Dont get the idea you have to guess every word on your first-fifth run! dont be shy to guess and use the color function to mark those you are certain about and maybe put a (?) behind words you are not. pay attention to words that are used often and compare them in sentences!
I can not press this enough, its better to guess words than not put in anything at all.

I'm doing this now and its been a big help, figured out it's using a caesar cypher and even though the cypher isn't perfect the context of some words and being able to replay them helps a lot. There are still lots that stump me but I'm at least able to understand some scenes better now!
