Opened the map in Free Roam, got stuck, forced to close game, banned for 5 minutes

I opened up the map in Free Roam to see where the other players were at and 1) what a terrible map system, can't even see the whole map since part of it was off screen just for being in one quarter of the map 2) The map wouldn't close after opening, I could still interact with the map (move it around click on things) but again, the Map wouldn't close and I was unable to move or go to the menu. Since it was bugged I had to close out of the game ( I was not about to wait 50 minutes for free roam timer to end). Once I got back in-game I was restricted from Multiplayer for 5 minutes. Ridiculous I am being punished for a bug.

I had the same bug happen to me in the beginning of a dungeon had to alt+f4 as well hopefully they look into it

Also currently having this issue,

would like to mention for if devs read this, the player can use skills during the map is no longer removable and they can use map functionality such as opening and closing stat menu (Issue seemed to occur at the start of free roam if map is opened too quickly but I also have had it twice happen during story mode missions.

Have pressed every button on keyboard, no button prompt closes the map Icon:

Just out of curiosity attempted switching keyboards while issue happened, no difference for every key input (all works the same and no exit map)

Next attempted to switch to controller during this issue also did not find a difference there

Just to be sure, have you tried pressing M to close the map?
