It seems, that it's, mostly, new characters, 2 in each DLC. Probably new story content to go with that as well.

I just hope that new maps are in the works too.

Technically they can just add anything though, even Kuroyukihime from Accel World since she still part of the game verse and the LN.

the problem is that these characters will take like half a year to release it's not a gacha where you get them every month or whatever... waiting for a character that is already in the game just a different outfit basically for half a year and then praying that the character you like gets put into the game knowing if it doesn't it will take another half a year before new characters is just way too long for them to be wasting character slots on something like that imo like all the characters the guy above listed and Kuroyukihime could come, but when? 5 gazillion years from now maybe at this pace... I understand it takes time to make them or whatever that's fine, but it feels like a slap in the face to get a reskin of a character this soon

It's going to be a totally different character.

Not really she is still 1 handed the only difference will be no Perfect weapon control.
Should have done a goddess or 1 handed Nightsky Kirito with Perfect Weapon control and sacred arts instead of pretty much the same char all around.

Precisely and especially one that isn't going to be much different as they still use same 1 handed sword and same style. Goddesses or 1 handed Perfect Weapon control Kirito would at least bring something unique to the table.

It wouldn’t be reskin if the characters use different weapons though.
You know, it’s better for them to have secondary weaponry like they have with outfit swap for some of the characters in the current version.

The thing here that you have cosmetic that goes with the weapon type these characters have (same weapon type will be available for all other characters that use same one as well). They definitely can just add a separate update on the available casts for that. The DLCs are technically related to storywise so it isn’t part of the update for the game that they can do.
