Upon testing, this is my observation:
- Cursor Sensitivity: affects controllers only, adjusts UI cursor speed
- Camera Sensitivity: affects controllers only, adjusts analog's field camera speed
- Mouse Sensitivity During Battle: affects mouse only, adjusts mouse's field camera speed; applicable even when not actively in battle/no enemy in sight
Only the "Mouse Sensitivity During Battle" affected the mouse camera movement. In my testing at 1400 mouse DPI, neutral Windows mouse speed with acceleration off, I moved the camera by the two wrist tilt capacities. It was able to move some ~110°/220°/330° on 0/50/100 sensitivity respectively. 'Not precisely science-y, but there is indeed sensitivity change, albeit a disappointingly miniscule difference considering it's a granular 0~100 slider.
Determining which sensitivity slider to change would've been alleviated if the Setting description had more details, or if it was more aptly named.
'Hope this helps at least clarify things, if my observations were correct anyway.
It seems sometimes the sensitivity works but then again it turns back down again
I picked a GGO character for 1 co-op run yesterday and noticed from time to time I'd have to dodge roll or my mouse speed was back to what felt like, slow, default settings. It seemed limited to this 1 match, same character has not done this again since.
It was annoying, but only happened once in the 5 hours I've played MP. It has yet to happen in Story Mode.
So there's definitely something up, but I don't think it's the sliders in options - it's something else.
Regarding frame rate and mouse skipping - I'm not having these issues. I'm running Unlimited frame rate (165hz monitor) with Vsync on so that I'm getting Gsync out of it.
The only skipping or lagging I've gotten is when I tried playing on Asian servers, while living in North America. There seemed to be some considerable delay which caused things to appear like skipping and there was definitely input delays.
I do have to keep changing my matchmaking region from Asia to North America. This is something folks may need to check on their end, too, if noticing wonky play during MP.
