No English VA?

IS there no English Voice Acting in this? I picked English and still speaking in Japanese. Did I miss something?

Language selection is only for Text and Menus, the voice acting is only avaliable in Japanese, Namco Bandai has not had a dubbed SAO game before.

Ooph, that saves me the 60$ then. Which is a shame, because this was like the first SAO I almost ordered.

I don't think any SAO games have ever been english dubbed. You can actually see on the steam store page on the right side, may need to scroll down of what the games language is for both reading and voiced.

None of the SAO games have ever been dubbed. I've been playing since Hollow Fragment, and all of them have been voiced in Japanese.

Me too. English dub is often so bad, but well, we in Germany have maybe after japan the second best dub industry. But to be fair, how good a dub is depends always how much money you invest, there are also too cheap dubs, SAO is not a part of that.

Back to top: there is no dub because it cost too much. Players would expect the voices they know from the Anime and that cost more money and if you start with english, quickly players want a french, german etc. dub too. For that the game didn't reach the audience like a Naruto or Dragonball game, their fanbase is much larger and so much more buyers who can bear the costs for a Dub.

IMO, English VA is the worst thing in anime game. Every character just sound like Disney character without emotion.

eng dub has many personalities because they are not reduce to single "standard" , the whole Japan va industry is a joke

Look at the voice in japan: Ojisan, oneesan, dumb mc, main mc characters are ALL SOUND THE SAME. They act and sound like teen and overly cringe, overly unbearable. Watch any thing in japanese and tell me they sound different? You literally cant tell them apart, meanwhile everyone able to tell ENG VA actors by just their sound. Alot of great name came up such as Jen taylor, Tara Lyn Strong, Kristen schall from Gravity and so on. So many examples

But yes weeb praise generic , same voice from Jp.

English VA is often the worst thing period. There ARE good ones but usually there is one or two that will make me want to really stab myself. (Two of Nel's sidekicks in Star Ocean 3. for example)

JP VA is consistently in-character good.
