It says the code is redeemable in game from the store tab in game, so I'm assuming since it's cross play/all region servers the code should work everywhere.

I have already obtained the skin serial number, so I think it should be fine.
I bought it in Taiwan.

I bought her track in the US and confirm it works. I got the code today and successfully received the in-game item. i followed the instructions in the event link provided above

1. I bought the track from Ototoy via Paypal https://ototoy.jp/_/default/p/2324881
2. Took a screenshot proving purchase of the song
3. I submitted the application to https://www.sonymusic.co.jp/event/104162
4. 24 hours later (when JP woke up) I received my code and inputted it successfully

Yeah iot took me couple days to figure out how to get the application send. If your phone number is too long it doesnt work. Now im waiting my code.

Another great reminder that SAO gameverse in it's downfall is that KusoOnna's song is used for the game. I wonder if she moved from pleasuring kusomegane aka FutamiP to this newer younger producer so he let her promote her parody of a music in new SAO games as well?
Nah, I am joking! She always was a property of someone much more higher in position than those mere "producers", because she also appears in GGO Alternative, so his influence isn't only about just SAO gameverse. Well, at the very least they suit each other - he has no taste in women while she has no talent, it's a union truly made in heaven!
Can't wait to witness the moment when Scamco will lost SAO's IP rights and KusoOnna will never appear in SAO gameverse ever again! Ah, sweet dreams...

Mind that there are alot of other store choices[ReoNa.lnk.to] to buy the song from, though most if not all of them also restricted to Japan only.

To add to the experience: I bought the AAC one from https://mora.jp/artist/1048642/all.
They're late on telling me that their service is available only on Japan; notifying me only when I get to the checkout page. JP VPN makes it accessible.
Despite saying that overseas cards are not accepted[mora.jp], it accepted my Philippine-issued Mastercard anyway.
I think less important to be accurate, but the phone number accepts only up to 11 digits. Exceeding will prompt you 『入力内容をご確認ください』 "Please check the information you have entered". Press tne red 戻る/Return button to go back to the form.
I'm waiting for the confirmation/redemption code email atm.
