I almost had a heart attack when I thought I'd lost my Legendary Axe and Alice gear. I simply forgot to log-out of my Steam Workshop / Mods account, and I almost paid the price.
I know it's not the same issue, but I suspect data sync played a part in both of our issues. I'm so glad that I read the system prompts.
Just don't say yes to starting a new game if the beta data doesn't carry over correctly. Fingers crossed that your stuff comes over in tact. I'm sure mine will, but you should probably log in with the PC first, just in case. >.<
This issue should not be present in the full game, since the full game uses a completely separate app in the steam database instead of the Beta using the pre-existing one and the forgot to update the cloud config.
@Kentun I truly hope this will be the case. Regardless I will probably run on my pc first so to make sure I got my files carrying over to the full version. It also says this game supports steam cloud service so like you say it should be non-issue upon release, I hope. LOL
OH for sure, because if your actual Open Network test save file is not on your steam deck, it won't transfer even if you launch the full game first on Steam Deck, launch on your PC, get items on your PC/Full game save, and full game save should transfer over.
