May I play solo offline...or not...

Hi!
I hate playing with people...not because they are bad or anything,just because I much prefer do things at my pace without worrying about others.
So I can play solo and have fun with some characters or I'm going to be forced to play with people I don't know and don't want to know?
Playing with AI characters is okay if really you need your tank-mage-healer-dps team...

Ok, it should be possible to set up private rooms, but what exactly those it mean? Will we be able to play by ourselfes, and enjoy the whole PvE content of the game that way, or will it be impossible? I also would like to play it by myself, playing on my own pace, or come back to the game whenever i would like to without being worried that if they would unplug the servers, i still could play it.

Agreed. I'd much rather be able to play solo and select the party I want to tackle the boss with. Multiplayer games, let alone anything involving raids too easily devolves into everybody telling everyone else why they're playing their specific character or character class "wrong".

It's really VERY difficult to convince my friends to buy a game like this.

If you're worried about not being able to play with friends, matchmaking exists to allow you to solo queue. There will also be a story mode, though the extent of that might be limited

As far as we are aware there isn't a way to play any mode without an online connection except the story mode.

The online only modes, such as Co-op quests, Free Quests and Raid Quests, can be played any time while online, and if you can't find a full 20 people while match making or if you have 3 friends and it's taking forever to find 17 other people it will fill it with AI bots after X amount of time waiting in queue.

As far as I'm aware though every time the devs have talked about those 3 online modes, they have said an internet connection and being online will be required to play them, even if you queue up with bots.

I am more concerned about being able to play completely solo as proper single-player game. Or, at least, as some kind of MMO-experience like WoW (of 2007-2014) provides.

The more concerns are on the way. The quality of AI of the bots is also a reason for being afraid of possibly ruined game experience.

I belive there 3 mode story , coop and free mode where in free mode you can play solo and will be up to 19 other player on the map
