Save Data
I have this on Nintendo Switch and I mentioned in another post I deleted my save data but I got it back and it's cause some weird issues.

If you delete your save you loose player rank , character rank , all story and co-op cosmetics , those cgi things story progress etc

You keep dlc and serial items tied to the account that is linked I guess?
As well as Trial pass items and progess and medals and real money dlc.
And you also keep legendary and epic gear.

So I started over at rank 1 with some level 100 gear lol

Actually got back to like Player Rank 45 and then I thought wait NSO has cloud saves.

So I went and downloaded the cloud save.

I got everything back but story and co-op/boss raid cosmetics and those pictures for your character profile. I did get the cosmetics for seeing all endings.

But I also got the cosmetics from the progress of the 2nd save file.
The cloud save did an overwrite.

Now If I go to a story level and kill the NM I can get those cosmetics back,

Something I seem to have lost forever though is first clear cosmetics from the story mode.
Like the angel halo , Yue's Navi dress etc.

I'm assuming overwriting the 2nd save caused this and if I would have deleted the 2nd save first I wouldn't have this issue.

I'm not sure if this a Switch exclusive issue and I realize not that many people will encounter this. But maybe you will if your hopping around on devices I dunno.

Like say someone went to get a ps5 pro booted up the game and then realized they didn't get their cloud save and had a save for this from booting it up. Do and overwrite and loose a bunch of cosmetics.

i know the save data issue is the worst on Steam, because Steam Cloud is really bad compared to the others. and if it becomes corrupted you lose progress, other than epic/legendaries. But yeah with console you can indeed use a reliable cloud service to back up your save data, as most of it is client sided
