I'm having trouble stopping the infection

I'm taking something like a pill to stop the infection, but the infection won't go away. Is there any other way to improve the infection?

Nope once you are infected you are doomed to become a zombie. There is no cure

Question is if you can prevent to be infected. I think there should be posible heal yourself and dont die with basic wounds. If you are clean you use desinfection and antibiotics its should be enought for dont get infection. But im not sure if its work like that.

As of right now, if you get attacked by a zombie, there is a 1% chance to be infected.

There is no cure.

That being said, this game is very early access, and there are already future plans for all that.

My advice when you see the "you feel strange something is not right" on your condition put everything you have on you weps clothes and inventory in a safe place go to your spawn point sleep then go naked outside find a Z and die. You will respawn on your bed and lose no items :)
