Overheating issues?

Is anyone else getting overheating issues? This is the only game this is a problem with, which boggles my mind. I have a Asus Stix AMD 5900HX with a 12 GB 6800m. Older but still pretty good. Never had it over heat on anything. Around my base, with in 5, some times 10 minutes, my fans go up to max with very hot air blowing out the vents. When I open the tab menu, I will see a field of colorful static in the upper left corner of the screen, along with weird wavy effects as I move my aiming dot around. If I don't quit the game, the lap top will shut down. If I quit the game the CPU temps show 95C, but fall rapidly now that the game is off.

I tried going in to Armory Crates Manual mode and boosting the fans up a lot to improve cooling. That didn't help at all.

My daughter shares the laptop with me. She plays Genshin, and it is much more graphically demanding than this game, and she told me she has never once had any issue related to over heating. Nor has she ever heard the cooling fans kick on that hard.

I have tried checking everything on my end and can't find anything obviously wrong. Could It be that this game is not very well optimized? I know most guys on Youtube and elsewhere, are using desktops with much better cooling and likely wont get this problem. I have not seen anyone on youtube mention it. Sure my laptop has good cooling but it is nothing compared to a actual desktop.

Since no other game does it, I think some optimization issues are at play. I find the game very fun. But as is it is unplayable for me. Which is shocking as my laptop should blow this out of the water.

My game just lags after playing for about an hour. I too have to crank up the fans, but as of late, i've been deleted corpses. I wish there was a way to just enter a console command and clear all the bodies.

To jworman83, try launching the game using different launch options like D11 or Vulkan. This may make a big difference. Try launching Task Manager to look at the cpu/gpu/drive/memory usage. It might help you to figure out were the problem is residing. I'm using D11 because with the normal choice[top] selected I was getting very high cpu usage and next to nothing on my gpu. See if any of the other 2 options help. As for [Dog Outside], there is a feature using the Admin Menu (\) that allows you to delete ALL corpses in game. Hope this helps both of you.

Normally the temps are in the low/mid 50's on my GPU (4070ti) but at sunrise, it would shoot all the way up to mid 70's. The heat i'm getting isn't harmful for the card but it is a huge leap in temperature that I don't usually see in a single game. I've seen this happen in another game, where my temps would increase at the transition from night to dawn.
