Does anyone know how to make ingots?
My question is, is there specific recipes or they have to be learnt?

I crafted the forge, figured out it used charcoal for fuel. I made Aluminium ingots out of Aluminium scrap.

I put Iron scrap in there, nothing comes out.
I need plastic ingots, so I put plastic scrap in there. Nothing comes out.

I looked in both work benches, nothing for ingots.

I looked in the admin console and the Plastic Ingot is in the game. I just can't seem to be able to craft them.

**EDIT** I figured it out. In case anyone needs the info. You need refined charcoal (burns hotter) to make certain ingots.

for advanced smelting you need to craft using the advance table, refined charcoal. These require 2 coal per 1 refined. It is a bit stupid considering to make enough ingots for say a solar panel is about 100 trees (to make enough coal for 50 refined). Also as a heads up developers do not read steam community, I found a post of theirs they reply only to discord really. i tried emailing them a month ago and nothing.

am i missing something lads? i can't seem to make ingots using what you guys have described, I've used over 50 coals and not made 1 ingot, I've got everything i need, coals, refined coals, ali scraps, iron scraps, plastic scraps. is there an ingredient I'm missing? I've just used 30 coals and all i had in the ingredients was, 1 ali scrap piece and it burnt through all my coals and i didn't get any ingots.

How much scrap are you putting in? Takes 10 iron scrap for 1 ingot for example.

Like Jonnyho mentioned. You need at least 10 to create one ingot. It's not a 1 to 1 ratio for making ingots
