Remove MS Period Restrictions Bugged?

Playing on the Switch version, and I have a question. I have completed all the routes of the game to my understanding (Alliance, ZAFT, and Archangel in both C.E. 71 and C.E. 73), but the restriction wasn't lifted. The only requirements are that I "Complete all missions with all Story Mission factions except Other" yet it didn't pop for me. I distinctly remember a specific mission on the Archangel's route that had you make another choice between it and a different ship, so I'm wondering if that's the reason it didn't pop for me?

Definitely from choosing faction to go Alliance/Zaft or Archangel on certain mission. just do em all.

If your mission list doesn't mention 'FInal Phase' then yeah, you didn't do em all.

As far as I can tell, I've completed all of the 'Final Phase' missions. But the restriction unlock states "all missions" rather than "all final missions,' which makes me wonder if I missed some. Could you list off every mission that offers a choice? I know that one is potentially not listed as giving one (like I said before, the one where you choose between Archangel and the Eternal), so knowing which one that is would help immensely, as well as any others that have unlock requirements that I might've missed.

So, firstly, any stage with an E-Rank won't count. I have managed to complete a stage with an E, and it counted for the ending, but the score was so miserably low it didn't even count it for the Unlock.

Secondly, it doesn't matter about choices. Any choice should be fine. Half the missions are optional, so you probably just didn't do one. Or failed (giving an E-Rank) and gave up.

That was what it was, it seems. I managed to complete the Final Phase of both Archangel Routes on my first playthrough, with the Strike Retrofit, Freedom, and Strike Noire more or less carrying me for varying reasons. However, the C.E. 73 Final Phase of it was a nightmare and I barely managed an E on it. Guess rank really does matter in certain instances.

Regardless, now all I have left to do is S Rank every Story Mission for that last unlock.

That's exactly the problem I had: CE73 Archangel with an E-Rank.

But if by the last unlock you mean using Other units in all stages, you *only* need to A-Rank the Other missions. Not everything, just that one far-right category. None of the other story missions matter.

That shouldn't be an issue then. I've either S or SS Ranked every Other Faction mission with little in the way of challenge.

Well, save for ZAFT Guardian. That mission can go shove it for expecting me to just wing it when 5 ACES SPAWN AT ONCE during my first attempt. Still got an S eventually though.

If that doesn't work, I'd check if you have all 18. But the only one with odd requirements is Plant Songstress, which requires you to do ZAFT Guardian without killing Meer.

what suits did you use? ZAFT Guardian is kicking my ass even with everything maxed out (well except my pilots)

I generally set my wingman as a SP Attack spam-drone, putting them in a suit good for the purpose like Destroy Gundam, Legend, or really anything with a big gerobi/death-ray super attack. Have them use SP Attacks as often as possible - and you can pretty much do the same most of the time, particularly if you have the SP-gain/cost related Passives equipped (if you can only take one, I'd go with the cost reduction). If damage is an issue, you can swap to a Natural pilot and stack the Ace Killer and Hatred passives to get a hefty bump, though you won't be able to spam SP Attacks as much.

For S-Rank purposes I generally use suits with crazy ranged damage like the Strike Freedom, Akatsuki and Providence Gundams. Akatsuki in particular deals some truly monstrous damage with its SP Attack for the version that has the DRAGOONs.

I just unlocked it without finishing the EX missions or the Other tab.

I manage to finish all with at least 1 or 2 D rank. is the D rank doesn't count?

Yeah you should probably raise those ranks higher.
