Army is stuck defending against a rebellion.
Sent an army to a neighbouring province to help them defend being usurped and now they just live there. It's been several days and nothing has happened. I don't even care about the warriors but I need my lords back ASAP to manage production in my settlement and there is just no option to make them go home.

The first time I tried this I sided with the usurper and it was just a quick battle and back home. I didn't know that if you side with the current king that your army would be permanently garrisoned there. If it's going to function like this you shouldn't even have the option of defending the current king because it's so game breakingly not worth it

Yea the Favors for other lords should be removed from the game until they're fixed. Currently, fulfilling the favor takes way too long and doesn't even complete it most of the time. I sent my squad to help defend my Vassal from Bandits threatening to attack, they spent 3 days there and came back and the favor is still being considered in progress.

Yeah, my army eventually came home but we're going through a famine where the crops aren't growing so it would have been nice to stock up before. One of my villages got raided and I couldn't meet the enemy because all my warriors were stuck in that neighbouring province.

To make things worse, like you said, it doesn't appear I got a relationship boost with that settlement either

Yea, currently you're punished if you don't aid them (relation loss) and you're punished if you do aid them (giant waste of time, no relationship gain, no payment/gifts, nothing)

A feature like this shouldn't even be in the game until it's working and balanced.

100 percent.
I have 2 two full plate mace armies with stun abilities in my towns, defending it from a threatened attack that just simply never happened (if I threaten attacks that dont happen, the AI is RUTHLESS in slandering and mocking me btw)- while some random 18 stack plate raider group spawned in my main city, just absolutely burning it to the ground, killing my lords etc.
So... yeah is the dev gonna do something about it or is the game "finished" now, after they baited enough Youtube audiences into buying it?

That's why i usually just use knight to lead the army and leave the lord at home...

Absolutely. It's funny seeing this thread pop up again. Since I posted it I learned the time commitment of sending an army to defend a rebellion. It's actually quite doable, and like you mentioned there is options like sending a knight to lead an army.

It was really just an early frustration when I didn't know what I was doing. I actually don't think it needs to be re balanced but it's definitely a 'noob trap'.
