Its definetly a task that is possible but I think that the task is annoying and does not bring and enjoyment
They do start wise conversation randomly, they just need free time. They then can spend time with somebody, do wise convos, hunting etc. I think knowledge are great asset of the game, adding to story generation. Its interesting chalenge when you lost your lord on someting like hunt and now you need to quickly relearn half of your crucial production chains :D (and that how you learn not to depends on single lord to learn books :D )
