I think if the walls are built, new combat units would be perfect.
Other than that, the problems I have experienced.
- I build an army but I can't find that army later. If it's not on the road, there are times when I can't find the commander in the village. This should be fixed.
- Different scenarios should be introduced for more excitement.
- I think the most important deficiency is in the battlefield. I would want to fully command the army. For example, I would want to determine the formation of the army. I assign swordsmen in one place, spearmen in the other, etc.
The Army of Thieves was 40+ with guard towers.
The Largest AI Army I was fighting had 72 Troops granted it was mostly 5s-10s in Light Armor with Spears but still had about 30 Heavys with Swords/Axes.
Which I wanna point out is another reason for LARGER BUILDINGS or Upgrades to some that don't have it
The 10 Man Barracks is great for when you only need about 30 troops but once your army needs to be 50+ Having to stack 5+ Barracks and 2-4 Training Fields looks bad.
Need a late game upgrade for the Hall to a Keep.
and a Upgrade for the Barracks, perhaps one that passively heals faster and can hold army supplies and salve.
