How long do nervous breakdowns last for?

I have had a character that has been having a nervous breakdown for over 20 days. This makes everything so difficult, because this character has a need for sexual desire and there is no way to fulfill that need. It has caused a huge problem because she always attacks her father the king for his rings no matter what. Let me know if you have any solutions.
