How to understand/ respond to a request for assistance?

Yeah, i've done that and now they wany to be allies, the enemy is sitting on top of the province and my 'army' is anxiously waiting. But I appreciate your reminder that the world map exists, that was an incredibly insightful contribution.

Ean is right. Click the faction on the map. It's one of the options in the + button...

I didn't say Ean was wrong, I just didn't understand why he bothered to reply. To be honest I don't understand why you have either?

Was it though? Look, I'm not actually trying to be confrontational but I'm still just as lost as when I posted this question. I still am learning the mechanics of this game, I'm still trying to understand how to resolve this battle. You need to go to the world map, click on the faction that is asking for it. Press the + and it's one of the options. (Typically the top one). Then you can click to send your local army that you created.

That wasn't so hard was it?

To anyone else searching how to do this, you then need to click on the crossed swords above the settlement you sent your army to/ are assisting and that should generate the battle.
