why not ? its singleplayer
Why do you care how other people enjoy playing a single player game?
No one cares if you 'cheat'. It has literally no bearing on anyone else experience of the game and it's not a problem.
But sheer curiosity forces that question forward. 'Why would YOU want to?', what satisfaction do you derive from clicking some buildings down on to your settlement and wondering what all the, now unimportant, menus are doing?
It's not just bemusing you want a free build mode in a game like this, it's also confusing that you're even attracted to a game like this in the first place.
I hope I'm not coming across too condescending, I am actually curious about your perspective.
Sure, I can indulge. Not that I asked for any cheats, as I quite enjoy the game for what it is right now.
What I do not enjoy though is attaching myself to certain lords, and then having to deal with losing them due to old age after xx amount of in-game days. Would be nice if I could choose which lords I wanted to keep by adjusting their age (If I wanted to).
I am also not sure I like the current way the tech-tree works. It seems silly to me that the inhabitants of my town suddenly forgets how to make tasteful beer because one of my lords left the settlement when they became 18. Therefore, it could be nice to have some power over that as well.
All in all, everyone is different and some people just like to feel powerful when they play. I don't care about that, I just want a casual experience where I can turn my brain off after a hard days work.
Hey, not that I agree with everything you said, but I really liked your reply. I'm only here because I like this game and I want to talk to other people about this game. So I really appreciated your response.
