On FPS and TPS, I totally agree with 144hz and higher.
But on a game like this, going above 60 is simply stressing your GPU for absolutely no reason. Nothing will look clearer or faster going above 60 fps on this type of game, the animations aren't anything like a FPS/TPS.
Will 144 fps be supported?
Exactly this.
You don’t know what you are talking about. Even moving the mouse cursor on the desktop feels much smoother at 144fps. And in games with a top town view it’s particularly noticeable when panning the camera.
And a game with simple graphics like this is definitely not going to cause much stress on gpu.
To people who think this is snobbish: remember when 30fps games used to feel fine until you got your first PC that ran games at 60fps? Then tried going back 30 fps?
Same thing applies here
Now that is a bit harsh. This game is in early access so it will likely get high refresh rates.
While i prefer 144hz, i can still tolarate 60hz if the game is good.
Anything below 60 starts looking like a slideshow
Doesn't make any sense.
Still locked for the official release. Config file setting still non-functional. (also still called "Strategy" in %localappdata%, really should've been named Norland on EA release)
I can tolerate 60FPS for games like this after a while of running it, but even tabbing out to Windows for a bit and tabbing back in is so jarring. "Oh god forgot it was 60FPS" type exclamation.
And as stated in my post in the other thread, there's no way to edit the game logic because of yoyo compiler.
Only the developer can change this.
Not trying to be harsh, I just find it the step from 170 to 60hz to be really jarring. I personally would rather use my money to buy a game that doesn´t have this issue and come back later when my gripes with it are fixed. It´s just personal preference.
