Any tips for food and other needs?
Hey i am having issues feeding people with what they need, i have tried to do two of each field type and two mills and two breweries but its clearly not enough for my four lords, two kids and bishop and 40 villagers. Any suggestions? I end up having a hard time mostly due to the need for wood for the fields so i am unsure if more fields will help or make it worse.

Like all "city builders" the difficulaty lies in RUSH.

You need rye and temple.
Get 4 rye on fertile soil and two lvl 3 mills will have trouble processing it. You will be having 60+ flour per day.

Dont bother with beer much, as the game is bugged and taverns dont sell more than 10 beer per day, even if you have multiple taverns.

On day 10 the latest - forbid selling rutabaga, and reallign flour prices/wages so that people will only eat flour.

On day 15 the latest - have pigfarm lvl2 - markets dont sell meat for some reason, so meat is lord only food so they wont use up flur which is peasant delicacy.

I planted my Rutabaga fields on normal land as to which they give 60% each. With that I bought slaves to work them (no wages or pay then the cost of buying Rutabaga). I left the fertile fields for rye and hops.
Keep your meat and beer for the lords etc.
Only new at the game but that's my bit!!

At the moment in my current game i got 46 villagers, 6 rye fields and two mills and my flour is struggeling to stay above 0.

I am unsure how i am supposed to be able to do anything at all right now, my money that was at max when i started the game has now fallen all the way down to 200ish and is also strugeling to stay above 100 and falling. I have tried to lower all the prices to not run out of gold but i am clueless on how to not run out of everything. The only thing i got going for me is wood.

upgrade your building is more important to build multi buildings in any type of building. one mill can make 26 bag of flour. so LV3 mill can support your people. two day drink once.

how to make money? make food but not sell. sell weapon instead. trade with other country must be balance (buy < sell). sell learned book. sell prisoner. ratio of villager : army = 1:1.
kcb Aug 1, 2024 @ 6:28am
Is the issue you are not making enough rye, or not enough flour?
Are your rye fields on fertile soils?
Are your lords managing the fields and mills correctly?

oh... do not store resource count more than your people. food store not more than 3 times.

umm Tutoraisl covers building, assinging lords, sending to talk to neighbours, trade with neighbours, war.
It shoes nothing on markets, only on finance screen.

Problem is, my tavers never supply more than 10 beer TOTAL, even if i have 3 tavers, 10 beer is all they will bring

3 Rye fields can make about 75 Rye a day average and one mill can process about 75 flour a day before you need to buy upgrade book. and that's with pretty average management. Not sure where your going wrong.

The finance screen is where you control the markets.. you can change how much beer your markets can sell there..

Well, tooltip says one worker can produce 26 flour, so lvl 3 should make 75.
But my mill places exactly next to hall and few steps from temple produces 18+5 bonus with managment 4 - +32%

Also rutabaga tooltip says three workers make up to 20, but having the field just outside temple doors i get 18 with managment 10 - thats +52% bonus

First is, how much rye do you have at the start of the day? are you also using it to make beer? obviously if you don't have 75+ rye at the start of the day , you mill can't make that much flour.
If you do have enough rye for the mill to make full flour, is it actually full of workers all day? it only makes 25 per worker per day if they are actually in the building working.

Oh, also how much flour are you telling your people to make in the production screen? You didn't know about changing selling limits in the finance tab, so maybe you have not done anything in the production screen? If they are told to only make 20 flour, thats all they will make no matter how much rye/workers you have.

I had them set to make 100 of both flour and beer and i had 0 rye for several days and suddenly i got over 300 rye and the food situation calmed down out of the blue. I did not do anything so i do not understand why suddenly i had food.

Clearly i am missing something but i am unsure what that something is. I got the buildings, houses, productions all setup yet i had a really hard time getting the rye and hop and had to burn my gold to not lose when suddenly out of the blue i got over 300 rye and they finally started make things with it.

For beer i need little like 15 rye
For flour i need 100 and my farms provide that. Rye has 3 day cycle and one cycle can net you 80-140 depending on soil. So its like 27 per day per farm, have 4 farms its 100+ per day
