Game not launching

I'm having trouble launching the game. it won't even load the app. Every time I press play it says launching for a while but never launches and gives up. I've tried restarting my computer, validating game files, and uninstalling/reinstalling. not sure what else to do. this is the only game this happens with.

Error messages? If so what's it say. Virus scanner? Does it think there is a virus and blocking it? Does it show up in task manager at all?

no error messages.. just closes as fast as it opens like it was being alt f4'd. shows up in task manager for about a second before it closes. Virus scanner didn't find anything (AVG FREE). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again and now it flashes the loading screen and closes within a second

All drivers and windows uptodate?

You have verified everything so its unlikely the games fault. So its most probably something on your system is out of date or broke causing it to crash or its being blocked by another program like a virus scanner.

You say its not virus scanner so windows update and drivers.

Updated windows and my GPU driver and still nothing. Also tried reinstalling my gpu driver, clearing steam download cache, turning off steam cloud, turning off steam shaders pre-cache, clearing steam web browser cache/cookies, and uninstalling other apps i've recently downloaded. I've noticed my GPU spikes to 100% when it tries to load but im pretty sure thats normal for every video game idk tho.

You can use Event Viewer, Event ID: 1000 is for application crashes.

Make a custom view look for any application event in last 24 hours with event ID 1000 and then open the game. It should show up in the list after it crashes if its a crash.

I got it fixed! I tried to use event viewer but couldn't find any Event ID 1000 related to norland so I tried to think about what changed recently. Turns out some minecraft mods I downloaded were somehow conflicting with the launch of this game and only this game. I hadn't even thought to try to delete them because nothing was open (not even in the background) and it didn't seem related at all. List of possible things that were the issue (i mass deleted/uninstalled so IDK what exactly was the issue):

Curseforge/Overwolf (unlikely since it was installed already)
All The Mods 9 modpack on curseforge
FTB Stoneblock 2 modpack on curseforge
Optifine for minecraft
Fabric/Frabic API for minecraft
Sodium, Lithium, Phosphor, and/or Zoomify mods for fabric

Thanks a lot for the help, genuinely would've given up ages ago had you not given me more ideas. Makes me feel stupid to not have tried this earlier but what can ya do. Again, thanks for the help
