You have verified everything so its unlikely the games fault. So its most probably something on your system is out of date or broke causing it to crash or its being blocked by another program like a virus scanner.
You say its not virus scanner so windows update and drivers.
Make a custom view look for any application event in last 24 hours with event ID 1000 and then open the game. It should show up in the list after it crashes if its a crash.

Thanks a lot for the help, genuinely would've given up ages ago had you not given me more ideas. Makes me feel stupid to not have tried this earlier but what can ya do. Again, thanks for the help
