Mechanics are maddening
A lot of the mechanics seem like they were added just to be annoyances. I sent my heir to a nearby village to talk to their matron. It was three entire days before he returned. In the meantime, I had to get my king to pick up all the slack.

Having to refresh farms and feed pigs from your fields is a bit much. I built a pig farm and can't get anything from it because I didn't have 50 crops to feed the pigs. Then I couldn't farm more because I didn't know to save wood. So yeah.. Have a counter on there, that says how long it will be until it needs to be recharged. And for the pigs, make the 50 crops part of the build price to start.

I had my peasants revolt because I wouldn't blind my heir's wife I had just paid 800 gold for. And yeah, she had high military so would have lost her main worth to me. The revolt burned down five buildings; including the library I couldn't rebuild.

Had three slave uprisings with a patrol post right in front of their barn with three soldiers. On one occasion, they stole 600 gold. I made an army and killed the thief, but didn't get the gold back. So that's bugged. I never figured out how to recapture slaves. Like there's somebody working the slave barn, they just feed the slaves. I did figure out if I ordered an escaping slave to be arrested to have the mask thing put on them, they will be captured, dragged to the scaffolds, have the mask put on them, and then suddenly your soldiers will spear them in the gut and knock them out.

Oh, yeah, it took a while to figure out the starting crop can kill your people. So that's cool.

I wouldn't spend $4.99 on this game, in it's current state. It seems there's too much they're trying to implement and none of it is going well. It's pretty much Rimworld's stat idea but with a massive micromanaging system, and then a manufacturing chain system like Nothgard.

Hello! Thanks for the feedback.
1. We are adding several mechanics to the game at once. This allows us to implement all our ideas in the game and more diversify the gameplay. At the start of the game, you only have two lords available and one incarcerated. You need to increase the number of lords in your settlement. There are many ways to do this: Free from captivity, lower the loyalty of the lord and persuade him to come to you, find a bride for one of your lords.

2. Rutabaga is required to maintain a pig farm. Meat harvested from farms is a very valuable tradable resource.

3. This was due to a bad relationship between the Bishop and your wife. You should keep an eye on the relationship between the Bishop and other Lords, as well as regulate the number of "fanatics". The bishop is free to manipulate all fanatics to his advantage. The bishop can raise a rebellion and all the fanatics will be on his side.

4. Uprisings occur because of the bad mood of the peasants. If you feed them bad food: rutabaga and moonshine, then they will receive mood debuffs and will be unhappy. To fight theft, set up patrols near the Hall, the warehouse and the houses of the Lords. Build a scaffold, appoint a lord, choose a punishment. The Lord will arrive at the scaffold. And all the guilty will be automatically punished, there is no need to manually set punishment for each violator, this is an automatic process.

5. The game will cost $27, I hope my answers helped you!

Shame you don't like it, but all the things you mentioned are actually pretty much exactly why I like it: I love the way both Rimworld and Northgard work and I have personally had no problems at all playing Norland. Having the 50 crops be part of the building cost would make no sense, as it's how much you feed each lot of pigs, to fatten them up before the slaughter, it would make no sense to make it a one off investment... Having your people revolt against you, I honestly do not know what to say, I have never had that problem, nor with my slaves (granted, I don't keep slaves for long, I either turn them into soldiers if their combat is 5+ or I sell them)... Again, it's a shame you don't like it, but a lot of people do :)
Major skill issue. I havent even had a revolt fire on me yet. What am I doing wrong?
I made it to day 20 without a single revolt. Manage your peasants better =)

Shame I can't say more but looks like my reply was seen as disrespectful.

Sadly that means I can't give any constructive criticism nor explain in better detail what happened in-game.

I had read your reply before it was removed last night, but I was too tired at the time to reply! There were some things that I can definitely see where you're coming from, that's why I made an official suggestion to the dev team on their Discord to add tooltips to buildings to see when you need how much wood for example :) Same for the pig farm (and any other building that might have such a thing in the future). They've honestly been very open to their community, so maybe they will add it! I personally have had very little issues regarding my people revolting against me, whether they were peasants, slaves or fanatics, so there's honestly little to say for that from my side, but I can say that the game def has a learning curve. A curve some people enjoy and others don't AND THAT'S OHKAY <3 The game has so many different ways to be played, just looking around in the discord with all the different people there and the way each one plays, it's interesting to me, cause none of them play the way I do and we all have different outcomes and I just think that's what makes this game so interesting. There's also a lot of other people in the Discord that HAVE had these issues however and I honestly I have been unable to pinpoint what exactly they did differently from myself to make that happen...
Maybe give the demo another try at some point and genuinely if it's not your cup of tea than that's also ohkay, right? I agree with something you said in your deleted comment though, people could be a little more respectful towards each other, even if they don't share the same opinion or experience they did!

Glad to hear they're listening to their base.

I may give the game another try when I have time for it. 100% possible I just had bad "rolls" as I didn't sit there and customize the king and heir. I just played the tutorial, thought it was fun enough, and started a game with the base settings. Like Rimworld, I'm sure the rolls for your starting characters matter a lot.

It was fanatics that revolted. Something about they blamed the heir's wife for all their problems. It's possible that was RNG at play. The slaves, on the other hand, had been a bit much. There was a prompt on the right side, one of the few that came up daily, that listed chance of a slave revolt. It always said something along the lines of, "%notvalid" so possibly that part of the game isn't quite finished.

My playthrough I went heavy on military with a training grounds and a couple patrol points. I only ever had one criminal, and built a scaffold and put a lord on it until they caught the criminal. It's possible that I just held onto slaves for too long. All but 1 had the "longs for freedom" tag or w/e. I should probably just sell those or make them military like you suggested.

I didn't "lose" the game, or anything. At the 20 day mark I simply wasn't happy with what seemed like randomness and unexplained things with the farms needing a ton of wood. The thing with the pigs needing to eat 50 crops was pretty bad, as well. Knowing stuff like that can let you know to wait and worry about more farms, first.

I might hop into their Discord. It will probably be less likely my posts get removed :lunar2019laughingpig:

Fanatics revolted because of poor moods which hints at poor managament one way or another, peasants can put up with being sober and dying form rutabagas for only so long before getting angry...

Alternatively Bishop got angry with king and instigated whole thing while you did nothing wrong... They can be real jerks.

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Really odd to say after issuing me a warning, but okay.

You've got a great idea going. Hopefully input isn't regulated away by volunteer deputies. Further development of the game can do a lot for you.

Even if the issues are fixed (costs for buildings are known when starting that building), 19.99 USD is probably closer to your mark. I'm sure there will be three very loud people saying they'd spend 29.99 on it, which is great if you want to sell three copies :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Best of luck to you, I won't be giving the game a second chance after having mundane posts removed.
