How to remove to remove docking ports?

I'm in the ship editor in the main game. I took the newbie science vessel, and I'm trying to expand it, but I cant seem to remove the docking port it came with. Is there a way to figure this out that I havent noticed?

It's weird, but you have to dismantle docking ports the same way you would a regular object, then the crew will box it up and you can install it somewhere else. Editor is only used to install them.

So I was Editing the "New Ship" to make my own, it comes with the little cube and a docking port. I built around it, leaving the docking port and other things inside it. Then I tried to dismantle it, but I am left with a ghost docking port that I cannot dismantle yet takes up the space. When going to Editor to place floors, it shows as a docking port. Any idea how to get rid of a ghost dock?

Resolved by saving and reloading the game and dismantling the ghost again
