How's the DLC and difficulty?

Spotted this on sale and curious to try it out. Seems there's a ton of DLC mechs and was wondering if they are needed for post game or if they make you OP and trivialize the game.

How's the difficulty? I'm really into hard strategy games and hoping this one can provide me some challenge.

Also heard there's no 4k support, which is weird...

This game is ridiculously easy even on hard without grinding or the DLC. You get very hard difficulty once you finish the game, but I have not tried very hard yet since New Game+ is broken and I don't feel like starting a fresh save file.

the only hard missions are the wormholes where you need a full team of LV300 fully upgraded mech.

I finished the wormhole on hard with the DLC units at levels 200~240 and the DLC units' stats are not that much higher than the fully upgraded regular ones. You can probably do it at like 220~250 with the fully upgraded regular ones with little difficulty.
