Enjoying Game Until I Felt Aimless
I like the concept of the game, but I constantly am unsure where to go next or what content is meant to be engaged with, which is making me lose interest fast. I fought the boss Xoto, which felt incredibly difficult and the best idea I have is to find "Blue", but I looked in both towns and couldn't find the character.

I ended up trying to make progress in the Undercity, which was a non-starter as there's nothing but dead ends, so I tried the forest, which now I'm stuck on a boss named Valda, which I don't think I can defeat, as I get one shot by the fire breath, and it's challenging to get to that phase. Getting frustrated, any tips or help would be appreciated.

I was getting my ass kicked by this guy until I realized you could break the balls he throws at you for mana and ammo (donno why that took me so long)

For the fire breath get real close to him, you can't outrun it if you're near the edge of the arena

Thank you, I will try both tactics out. I definitely get overwhelmed fast when the spawns are added, so I'll be vigilant in killing the rolling bugs and fire spitting flowers. Good to hear on the fire breath, I couldn't figure that out. Thanks for looking out! I'll try to report back when/if I succeed.

Ugh, nope. I still cannot get past this section.

He can be tough. Make sure to be constantly shooting him with something (unless he has minions) and keep that dash going for the fire breath. You can also switch to the easier difficulty if you're stuck (same hp but timings are slower and there's some assistance that increases each time you die!) Frogmonster is hard and I encourage people who are stuck to try the other difficulty if you aren't already

Thanks for taking the time for a reply. I'll potentially give Frogmonster another try on the lower difficult at some point, but my criticism about feeling lost is likely going to remain on a future playthrough. Do you happen to have plans to introduce a mini-map? Not knowing where to go really hurts my want to play. Currently there are no guides for the game, so I'm just doing my best guess as to what the next piece of content is. I'm less frustrated about the overall difficulty, as I think the bosses are a highlight, but feeling lost is a low point for me.

A guide would definitely help some people I'm sure. there is a map but it's designed more to tease / explain forward progression more than anything else. If you do run into questions and want hints people in the discord have been pretty responsive
