Any tips for Runi?
Every time i try to do this fight i just cannot find it fun. I've tried different combo's of bugs and upgrades but everytime it feels like I'm dying to the falling or if I can get to the 3rd phase I can't generate enough mana to heal up from all the fall damage and die to the launcher phase. Please can anyone help me here? maybe I'm missing a bug or something that really helps here.

If you are taking a lot of dmg and struggling to hit spells beans can be helpful.

I'd say the biggest trick is just getting comfortable with the platforms and using your dash at the right time for that launcher phase.

Runi is a tough one! If you are getting to the launcher phase in 3rd phase you are almost there!

Beans saved the day! Though I'd also admit that I posted this kinda late at night so probably wasn't in the best state of mind lol. Sorry for the skill issue post, the boss was way more fun when you ain't tired and grumpy! Cannot wait to see where this game goes!

Is the ammo stealing necessary? Like I'd be fine with it if there was either A, a way to get it back or B a way to stop Runi from stealing your ammo. Been years since I had a final boss piss me off this much. Please note I do like this game.

They are tough to beat! If you do make it to ph3 you can kind of farm mana there if you are having a tough time. But they definitely take people a bit normally

Won't lie this game has been kicking me pretty hard mostly because I haven't played many metrovainias, but played a fair number of "Boomer Shooters" like Dusk, Doom, Project Warlock, etc.. I do wish there was an active way to gather ammo with somekind of melee ability perhaps hitting enemies with your tongue to steal ammo. Another thing I dislike is the fact you re-spawn without mana, an upgrade or a bug you could equip would be good for that, (personally I would prefer an upgrade rather then bug as I feel it could easily become a have to equip item). I did make a comment on another thread about a bestiary which would be fun, learn what enemies are named, health values, attacks, crit points, where they appear, and some lore. I am personally a person who likes lore and would be fun to find lore notes and such to learn about the biomes we travel through, bosses we fight, and some history on minor and major characters. A few other thoughts I have is a few of the bugs you can equip I feel would be better served as a prema upgrade, (especially ones for basic abilities like tongue, dash, etc because they don't really change the way you play and some of them feel like you have to equip them. I feel the bugs should be upgrades that change the way you play or open up new play styles). A final note I find it odd there are no ammo capacity upgrades, a extra mag or two as an upgrade could help make a difference in a few fights.

Oh boy you are not aware are you? That said it is kind of annoying especially since unless you are in the weapon wheel you won't really know which he took outside of the attack used. As for the other post if you are getting hit alot having bugs that give mana or ammo on hit can help a bit.
How do you deal with his yellow ring pulse move? What he does in phase 3 when you have to use the grenade launcher. Because he moves and does 3 of them, I find it impossible to avoid getting hit by one of the rings. I either get hit by the first one or the last one. :( The jump doesn't last long enough to avoid them, and dashing while jumping seems to either hit the first or the last one.
You made me realized I've never equiped bugs. I thought you had to eat them every time lol Thanks guys. Now I know I made the game harder on me until Runi.

Edit : Yet I beat him thanks to the bugs lol and the beans. Now the game is easier. I was playing it wrong this whole time
