bad server connections

as fun as the game looks and it is fun to play, the server connections are pretty ♥♥♥♥ for Australian players. I've always been a fan of competitive racing and this game intrigued my interest but after not even 5 races I've noticed that my ping sits between 250 and 450 which the game should not be that laggy and stuttery for that ping, I can play fortnite on American servers and not be skipping frames or stuttering all over the place. I think that there should be a server that is closer to Australia or one in Aus itself for us Aussie players who are looking for a ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles game.
