That’s roughly the size of a 1080p digital movie!
Surely the intro and ending scenes aren’t anywhere near-
*googles them* They are less than three and a half minutes!
…There’s a little more for the trailer, but that’s still less than two more minutes, so even if they put that into the game…
How is this even possible? No really, I am genuinely curious as to how it takes up that much…
They need to shrink this thing.
Dang!
…So, total of less than 3.5 minutes each, times 10, is less than 35 minutes.
4.8 GB, according to this thread.
A random digital movie I looked at, about 100 minutes in 1080p resolution, took up about 4.2 GB.
This doesn’t quite add up…
Unless they made those manga scenes in like 4k or something. But why?
I mean it’s a SNES game. So I think the new scenes could stand to be in normal HD so you don’t bloat the game to massive size, especially since they went and copied it for each subtitle+language option.
I wonder, can you just go into the game folders and see the video files in there? And then delete the copies you don’t need… if you try to boot up the game, will it function as long as you don’t play with the deleted videos?
(I heard this worked in some other game… ah yes, I think it was the latest BlazBlue, basically you could actually delete the whole story mode or something.)
Also each rom is double size of what it was, and since there are a few languages, there are 10 different roms.
Yes. You can delete the videos with the languages/subtitles you don’t need.

Space. Gotta have space. So much space. SPAAAAACE!!!
Note:
The version of the ending video with Japanese voices and English subtitles is named wrong, and crashes in-game.
“Manga02_JPNVO_ENGTXT_JPN” is supposed to be
“Manga02_JPNVO_JPNTXT_ENG”.
(So it’s supposed to be read like “Voiceover is Japanese, text is English.” But this one got partly reversed.)
