3rd Ectoplasm

We have never located a 3rd ectoplasm to unlock the ball that traps the ghost. We wasted so much time searching every inch of the house for several games now and each time after locating 2 there is never a 3rd, which means the game cannot be completed, which means all that time is just a waste. There seems to always be one in the kitchen and one in the closet of the bedroom to the left of the front stairs. There is occasionally one in the downstairs bathroom and we found one in the living room once. But again, always after 2 are found there is none to be found to finish the game.

Hi , the 3rd Ectoplasm is located when you are in the process/finished to weaken the ghost , and it can be on one of the spots

i would recommend to search when you fully weakened the ghost

and remember that even if the ghost is weakened if you pass through their pathing they can still kill you without warning

still that the game of the ghost trying to steal the ectoplasm / kill you will happen even if the ghost its full weakened

yeah, i did that and was up to the ritual part but i couldn't progress further because damn ghost didn't drop the 3rd ectoplasm nor could i see it with the other items to make it visible. it's definately bugged. in the "how to play" section, it states that you have to scare the ghost away and it will drop the third ectoplasm. Also, the ghost revealed was the jiangshi.

depending the day you played that you might experienced the bug of the ectoplasm being inside the ritual or outside the map [ depending the map ] as some bug reports say on the discord but
i would recommend doing all the possible weakening ghost steps before searching for last ectoplasm
now with ritual and update youll get the last ectoplasm before the ritual step , and need to get last ectoplasm to start the ritual

Thank for the tips, guys. Since I posted this the issue seems to be resolved. I see they now appear sometimes after the ghost hunts appears, but even if one disappears I usually do find a third. Thanks for the help and encouragement.
