Its just how it is, you gotta just let it go and keep joining you will find a lobby and find people who will play with ya, you could always try single player too!

When I start a game, It starts as an open game - and then I have to switch to private game, by then people have already attempted to join my game, that's not on me that others are trying to join a game that's going to be intended as a private game.

We've literally never had people join unless we had a group of three, and the fourth was taking their time. Plus, the option for "private game" is fairly massive on the top of the screen. It's fairly hard to miss. I'd say it's just trolls being trolls.
