No. The original was delisted when they listed the Directors Cut over 2 years ago.
Such as many brand sponsorships with products and advertisements for tv shows and so on.
Instead of relisting the game, they added the backgrounds and emojis to the directors cut release.
Pretty much confirming that it's due to licensing and them not wanting to retroactively go back and remove things from the original game, opting to leave it as is for original owners of the game.
It's not what they took out, it's what they added theat makes the first few hours easier than the original cut. Then there's the other stuff like the Valve stuff that was a pre-order bonus.
Plus it was released when the PS5 had come out so KojiPro gave it an updated graphic overhaul to take advantage of the Ps5.

Two separate games entirely. Two different online servers. The older game may be less populated than the newer game.
But if i buy upgrade, will i gain a separate game or will it replace my existing copy of the game (Turning original into directors cut).
