“Cleared” BT areas

So if you fight and kill a BT boss the game informs you that the area will remain BT clear for a time. But that “time” only seems to last as long as it takes you to leave the boss fight area.
For example: If I want to take packages from Ludens to the Distribution center, I should be able to clear out the BT area inbetween, go back, pick up my packages and head to distro without an issue. But if I do this, by the time I’ve picked up my packages and turned around to set out; all the BTs are back. Am I triggering something? Am
I missing something?

They do seem to turn back up quickly. Late in the game I realised you can check the weather forecast and wait until there is a clear patch with some of the BT areas.

Interacting with terminals also has an effect on time. You are better off staying left and going up the mountain. That way you can approach the Distro Center from behind while avoiding the BTs.

Im actually on Chapter 3, I just came back to newbie area to finish up some stuff and was trying to just whizz through. I was also wondering if maybe they wouldn't respawn so quickly if you used a postbox to bank packages instead of a facility, but I've yet to try this.
At any rate, I do, in fact, recall staying to the left and crawling along the mountainside early on :p

If you have to throw grenade from your bloods make or the Anti-BT gun would work stall them off a little. I do know they just keep coming back in places. They from the afterlife afteral :)

"clearing" BT zones by defeating boss does not work. It lasts untill next terminal interaction.
What you should do is clear a path through BT zone by killing BTs. It's weird but for me BTs never respawn. No matter time passed, no matter if I kill zone's boss after or not or if zone disapears and reappears because of weather - the "safe corridor" through zone remains and you can just go through it.
