I understand that, but I don't see much room for improvement, maybe 5-10 seconds at best. There was almost no slowdown with my run, last jump jetpacked down from the middle, landed perfectly infront of the delivery room and sam even bumped the wall causing him to fall perfectly without stagger somehow. I suppose the player count could be so low that only hc speedrunners are playing it, but eh... I'd be curious to see the times
Don't mind... The game is already full of cheaters ready to ruin every score, as always.
I have designed a perfect route to make the best time and my score was 1%-10% too.
That's why every offline game has to reward you only with offline contents, like all style games.
It's a pity... You can't even check other players results...
There is even a comment about it.
So yes, you most likely are competing with cheaters. Such is the price of freedom on PC. I personally enjoy Ranked, but I only do it for the cool looking banners.
His bar hits it, you're technically right but i'm guessing he's just barely off.
I'll just be going for the banners now, but trying to get the best time is more fun for me so that's ruined. I even gave up and settle for top 10% knowing in the back of my mind there are cheaters, but that's seeming pretty pointless now. Not going to push for 0-1% scores to be in the top 30% still lol
That's why anti-cheats were invented...
Yesterday I did one try to fight the BT outside Mama's Lab: on hard, I did it in few minutes with no damage.
Ranked Score? 95%-100%.
Game Score: "S".
I didn't expect to be above 30%-50% because on "hard" it is pretty easy boss but 95%-100% with a no damage is ridicolous.
It happens with every ranked.
Devs could think to do something about cheaters, especially with unique score rewards.
If players want to use trainers or cheats with offline contents, it's fine. They can set offline mode playing as they as want.
But using cheats playing online ruining score and other players experience has nothing do with "price of freedom" or "Your game, your rules": it's not "your game" anymore when you play with others.
I'm not an unsportsmanlike person at all. I have a preference for single player games (and thus the interest for competitive/online ones are close to zilch) but when I do, I can attest that I actually perform quite well in them.
I'm not one to blame lag, hardware, other players, my dog, or my neighbor or anyone/anything but myself when confronted with mistakes. I can rationally analyse what I'm doing wrong, and then correcting course of action as needed.
This - all that's being mentioned - is exactly why I'm finding the ranked portion of Death Stranding absolute unfair garbage. And I'm finding it difficult to enjoy the additions made to Director's Cut tied to rewards/events. To the point of preferring the original, which had none of that.
I've been completing ranked drills around 8-11 times each, sometimes more.
I improve my scores gradually, learn the maps and positions of targets and how to best approach headshots/takedowns. Each new run I perform better than the last, up until a point I eventually, virtually, make no mistake.
Hitting every target without wasting ammo, taking the fastest, most efficient route to the finish while at it. Almost like an adaptive choreography.
It's still not enough to rank between the 1%.
Reaching 1% is proving impossible. The only conclusion I've been able to come to (after humbly and just being honest with myself KNOWING I excelled ranked drills and still somehow end up getting ranked around the 1-10%) is that cheating is definitely at hand here.
I did it on very hard with 200 or so damage I think, 30-50%. More people must have played on very hard. maybe hard has a low amount of people.
