Mama in Central Knot City

So this has been bothering me since my second playthrough. In the Prologue on the very first delivery (Smart Drugs to Central Knot City), Sam makes the delivery of the smart drugs in Central Knot City to Mama. She appears to get the delivery in person - the graphic shows her checking it over - and then Sam goes off to the corpse disposal mission.

Is there ever an explanation as to how Mama is both taking deliveries in Central Knot City and also tied to her lab near South Knot City?

I imagine she's a chiral hologram- I believe it's only one or two missions after that, that the scene with Deadman plays where Sam makes "physical" contact with him only to find out he's not really *there,* only projecting.

They are still "there" in the space, seeing everything etc. so Mama would be able to "examine" the smart drugs as such.

Wouldnt Sam need to get Mama on the chiral network before she could do that though?

Excellent point. I feel like the chiral answer is reaching a bit. I'm starting to think that there was no explanation given and that it's just a little plot hole. I'm just really surprised that I haven't seen anyone else mention it.

The holograms are more traditional tech. You see it happen often in the game, and Heartman even talks about it. Manipulating energy doesn’t seem to require chiral technology; but manipulating matter does, hence the printers and so on. It’s why Bridges I was able to place autopavers but not use them. In a sense the chiral network is redundant in terms of connecting people; they’re already connected as far as communication is concerned. It’s material interaction that seems to be the goal, that really makes the country whole.

Also at the start of the game Central knot city was still there and probably helped work as a network bridge to clear up the connection before it was exploded in the void out. her connection is always going to be better than the peppers because she's the one building the system and probably her own chiralgram projectors so her stuff is cutting edge compared to the outdated un-updated stuff the preppers have been using for the last ten years.
