Controller issues on Steam Deck

Did any of y'all experience an issue when you boot up the game on the steam deck the controls don’t register at all?

I was playing Death Stranding Directors Cut like 2 days ago on my SteamDeck OLED with my Xbox One controller, today it doesn't work at all with the controller. However, when I use the SteamDeck controls, It navigates an works no issues. I will try different Proton versions and report back!

I switched from Stable to Beta, updated all Proton version 8.0, 9.0, Experimental and Hotfix. But non of them fixed the input issue with the Xbox One controller. The game is playable with the controller, but not with external device. SteamDeck does respond to my presses on the Xbox One center button and opened the tab to Exit game (Close game) So it's a game specific issue. I can navigate the menu using the Xbox One controller without issues.

Was this ever resolved.? Having the same issue right now. Controller works in other games fine. Tried setting the controller to number 1 and SD number 2, vice versa...nothing. just center button and screenshot work in game
