how do i quit the game?

the only way i can figure to quit is by going to PC Task Manager and force quit my way out of the game. i just don't know how to get a menu in the game where quit and even save is available. i'm using a x box controller. when you finish laughing, please tell me! thanks. i need to know every step since obviously i have no clue what i'm doing. oh, this is for the Director's Cut if it makes a difference.

Go to the map, then to the left to open the options where you read the mail etc, all the way down you can quit the game.

I don't know the buttons i play with keyboard.

You can also do this in your safe house, when you look to the right of your character you can see the map and use it.

ty Jeron! is the map the cuffs thing? otherwise i never saw a map. i just bought this on sale and am only an hour playing. i'll try it and thank you very much!

ok, back from trying again. i've got it figured out now. the map is in my private room and accessible using the controller START button. thank you so much! having a lot more fun with the game now.

You don't need to go to the private room to save/load or quit, at any time in the game (except when you're in a dangerous situation) you can open the map from cuff links by hitting the menu button on your xbox controller, then d-pad left to open the various menus, scroll down using the d-pad to System, and from there you can save, load, quit, adjust game options etc.

When Sam takes a rest, which you can force by holding crouch, the game also automatically saves. You have plenty of options

ok, so next i have to figure out how to hold crouch! i knew when i started, but forgot already. thank goodness there is an Easy Mode. crouch must be listed in the controller options, so next log in i'll find it.
