Crash shuts down pc.
So this is just a problem with this game is there any kind of fix for it? Any kind of crash dump I can look at? Event viewer shows no errors related to crashing.

It's 100% not my rig and only this game that does this.

Your PC just has an instant shutdown?

That sounds like a thermal protection.

Check your graphics settings, in game and for your card. May be some conflict or unsupported feature.

Its not though. I ran R24 and prime 95 what not everything at 100% load and full 128 gb ram and it does that just fine.

Not really sure what settings I would change. It runs fine for hours and then at random will just instant shutdown restart.

Power supply is a good starting point. Overclocking or undervolting too. Also the graphics card needs to be tested. Problem is modern cards cause big spikes and that alone can cause a shutdown if the PSU is too weak.
It can also be a faulty graphics card or temperature related safety shutdowns. Has nothing to do with the game. It just so happens to reveal a weakness of your system.

No chance. I have a Seasonic prime tx 1000. Most of my cores on my 5950x are under volted (fastest cores) for higher clocks and I have it set not to exceed 85c. 3080ti has no problems running at 100% all day. If prime 95 and R24 didn't find a weakness this game most def isn't lol.

Ignorance won't solve your problem. Computer hardware is a complex subject and technical knowledge and experience is key.
The best advice i can give you is to really try to prove yourself wrong.
Temperature for example is often overlooked, as only the core average and not the hot spot or VRAM is being looked at. And undervolting can cause instability at anything in between minimum and maximum clocks.

Synthetic benchmarks don't always translate to real world use cases and scenarios.

Agreed however I have never had this issue in any other game and have played games much more demanding. Even so running all the hardware at 100% load is a good test for stability.

Well not really sure where to look then. Everything on HW monitor looks good. I cant get this pc to hard crash If I tried too, only this game.

Just ran furmark 2 and prime 95 at the same time. Idk how else I could make it crash. Hot spot on gpu is 85c.

I'm a bit late to the party but during game play with Star Citizen there are two org mates (clan mates) who reported experiencing a hard crash (one while crewing my ship with me during a space battle). They were both using the 3080 Ti. Can you try a higher spec card to see how it goes?

I will just wait for 5000 series! So no.

Reset everything to default values. Check the wiring in the case. Ensure good ventilation.
It can be as simple as a SSD reaching maximum temp as the GPU warms up the case. Or more complicated things like defective components. You might have to take everything apart.
In any case; a sudden shutdown is not some gimmick. It means your game and your operating system failed to catch the malfunction and hardware itself either failed to operate within spec or triggered a hardware safety feature as a last resort to prevent physical damage.

In addition i looked for the PSU and it seemed people have experienced issues with Prime models, specifically when paired with higher RTX cards. Some even think it killed their hardware.
I would start with a PSU replacement but apparently it has something to do with the cable. Ask Seasonic Support and see what you can find yourself.
