I found out the an hex editor can fix this TAA issue, the game saves the TAA setting just fine but has trouble loading it up on startup and it looks like it loads FXAA, I compared everything.
I'm just going back to the original.
Not only TAA is trash, but for what i've experienced TAA also causes stutters in my game. That is if I re-enable it because it gets disabled every time I restart the game.
I just can't believe this is still an issue, it's been a problem since release! They also haven't fixed the cut-scenes rendering at half the frame rate of your max frame rate.
Thanks KJP for letting us now that PC is just not a priority for you.
Nvidia is kind of a mess on its own.
With 4K native the terrain isn't that good.
I found that playing on version 1.001 solves most of my performance issues and bugs.
It sucks that the Director's Cut has worse performance than the original version.
If this is the level of quality we are getting, maybe our only option is to buy a PS5 because either KJP doesn't care about PC or 505 Games is not doing a good job of communicating the issues of the game to the dev team.
