Feels like letting to be grabbed by BT is easier than trying to avoid.
Just letting BT grab you and just leave the area is easier then crawling among them.
Cargo? Repair spray.
BB affinity? Should i care?
Equipment? I can build new.

Technically yes, it is easier.
Spoiler:

Even with the part where you lose BB for a short moment.

Depends on the area and how familiar you are with BTs.
Once you know their aggro range and stuff they are a joke. I find it more annoying to get dragged a long way and then have to run a long way.

I think most people are overly cautious with BTs. BTs are dumb and not that perceptive. I sometimes run around among them with a shotgun blasting.

it is usually easier unless your cargo containers are broken, then your stuff will probably take a good chunk of damage in the fall... but yeah the hardest part of the BT's is when you're afraid of consequences of getting caught... once you learn how to deal with it is is alot easier but i will say be careful as if you mess up a bit too much you can cause a void out that wont' force a gameover lol

earnestly i think thats the point. at the end of the day BT's are not monsters out to kill things so them being "dumb" when you approach them as tho its a real fight is fitting to the overall theme of the story and the lessons within (as well as the original misunderstanding of them being monsters on the hunt)

Well i can just unload my cargo before somewhere near and then just head on BTs.
I have reached a point of impatience now where I've started doing this. Especially when I have to get a truck through a BT area. I'm just like "Ugh... FINE" :steamfacepalm:

I've always found a way to avoid them when driving a vehicle. I really only interact with them when I have to be on foot for whatever reason.
VisciousFishes Aug 4, 2023 @ 11:03am
Many of the BT encounter zones have a periphery that is safe on foot. For example near Benjamin Hancock, stick to the edge of the river. Another example, near the windfarm. Circumnavigate the area around to the right as you're heading towards Jake Wind.

On the way to the Timefall Farm, stick to the edge of the steep incline on your right. That way you avoid the BT and the Mules in that area.

Many of the early game areas have safe routes. These are just a few of the ways that you can, while on foot, avoid these areas. Works on Normal and hard difficulties- above and below that I cannot comment.

In how many ways are we letting the BT's of life grab us by the ankles and drag us into a pit of tar, because it's just easier that way? Kojima is a deep guy, who is totally Inception'ing us into profound realisations.

repair spray doesn't fix physical damage to the cargo, which is something of an inevitability if you're that careless
dumping your cargo isn't even a promise of integrity as a number of catcher fields are as wide if not wider than the actual BT area itself is, and can and will suck up cargo
yeah, sure, you can just leave it a couple of hundred meters away (so long as it doesn't pass the 500 meter despawn threshold) but at that point you might as well navigate or circumvent the field like a big boy

it's pointlessly time-consuming and ruins your delivery rank

Eh. It's a good strat early in the game when the player skill ceiling is low, or late in the game when you're just getting the last Premium Deliveries done and you're not in the mood to take a truck through active BT territory.

You would lose potentially MORE cargo durability if you try to sneak around. Simply because BT's rain is more degrading and you spend a lot of time going around. Simply getting caugh and leaving/killing BT clears the area so you cross it with ease. BTW most deliveries are stupid easy go S rank because even if you lose container, as long as you don't drop it you should be fine. Except for fragiles ofc.
