I played for nearly 5 hours and was enjoying myself but now cannot load the game with the following error, I've tried uninstalling and re-installing and I've also tried clearing out cached data on my machine but none of that works:

Looks to be Windows driver corruption? Stab in the dark, try updating your OS and drivers, and specifically try replacing ntdll.dll if that doesn't work.

Try setting memory streaming to low, maybe try disabling steam overlay. When I made it to Ch.3 I started getting these errors in the southern part of the map. Once I set it to low they stopped, switching memory streaming back to any other setting caused instant crashes.

I recently downloaded the game to give it another go after playing the original and i get the same error, unable to launch the game at all and no fixes found online worked, everything is up to date too

Its so much that can be the reason, but for some games turning off exploit protection works.

Press the windows key and type "Exploit protection"
Open program settings
Add program to customise
Add the death stranding exe (ds.exe)
Go down the entire list while making sure to override absolutely everything

(Im not totaly sure about overriding everything, but at least Override Control Guard Flow (CFG) and set it to OFF)

unfortunately i have tried everything , even played at the lowest grapgic options (windows 11, rtx 4070 ti, ryzen 9, 16 gb ram ddr5) but still after 1 hour max i have the same crash! i hope anyone can help! :)

-open program settings
-add program to customize
-add the death stranding exe file
-go down the whole list and override all of them to off.
