Useless Bridges.... WHY?
so many useless bridges cluttering my game. its very annoying. i refuse to "like" them and delete them immediately so hopefully a useful one can take its place.

anyone else despise "like" bridges? im talking about the ones that serve absolutely no purpose.

ie. a bridge in a flat field

You can delete them from map and not risk giving it a like. the more you know

I think that if you delete it is only for your game

they come in handy in situations you would not normally expect.

This is why I decided to play partial offline. First few hours in I noticed spam bridges and signs

the signs give very valuable boosts to Sam and also indicate safe places/routes to go.

bridges in the middle of nowhere (not by BTs, or Mules), not over any rivers or ravines, and not on any optimal delivery path. is what im talking about. literally no use outside of Maybe a elevated camera platform. they are just wastes of game space id rather not have in my world.

and yet a lot of these have 20k "likes".

is there a global ranking of "likes"? making these bridges essentially cheating / score manipulation

They are not useful. I think the reason why they probably pop up in a larger number of games to start with is since they are in a useless location they aren't competing with a large number of structures, compared to say a generator right outside a preppers shelter. They start getting likes because they are the only thing of interest in an area so people are drawn to drive over them. Then as they get more and more likes it snowballs making them even more likely to pop up in games.

My only consolation is that likes don't actually do anything worthwhile so it doesn't actually matter if someone is trying to farm likes.

When the original game came out, the spam was horrendous.

they have helped me in situations that one might not even think about. they can be good for saving battery or for elevated speed when your cargo is too heavy on the bike for just 2 examples.
also if you hate it that much just play offline

people here are complaining about the now, not the inital release

They increase the number of bridge links you can make, the time you cab give likes, and I think lets you request materials/repairs/upgrades. Completing a few segments of highways will give you plenty of likes.

If someone is attempting to farm likes with random bridges out in the middle of nowhere basically has real life porter syndrome.

Obviously.

I’m just mentioning that it was bad at release, and the trend can continue to be annoying here.

A lot of times useless objects can be helpful in specific cases like getting your vehicle over something that would otherwise be very troublesome due to uneven terrain. And of course, you can save your battery by walking over such things. It's okay that you don't like them, but this is not cheating or anything. People find things useful and then eventually support them.
